Seed Box news

July 17, 2019 Four business centers for ten years of Seed Box

Good progress for Seed Box, which has just celebrated its tenth anniversary. From now on, the company now has four business centers located throughout Luxembourg. And hopefully double its offer by its 20th anniversary.

Different from the coworking spaces, the business centers are aimed directly at companies wishing to have an office in the city. Seed Box started in this branch ten years ago when this type of service was still innovative in Luxembourg. Today, the competition is tough, but the company has strengthened its offer and seduces many customers.

"We have a total of 160 clients, of very variable size. It goes from the office for one person to 35 spaces. We have four spaces in the popular neighborhoods in Luxembourg, it is also our hallmark, "says Jean-Marc Fernandez, one of the founders.

Looking for master houses

Seed Box is positioning itself in a specific niche in order to stand out from its competitors, more and more numerous. Maisons de maître, buildings of character ... The luxury of the spaces proposed to the customers is essential.

"We are constantly looking for opportunities to expand. If we find buildings that meet our criteria, we could invest. But we do not want to do like the others, so we give ourselves time ", adds Jean-Marc Fernandez, who wants to consolidate its achievements rather than grow too quickly.

Brexit changes the game

Brexit could change the game if it ends up being put in place. Many English companies have already taken the lead and are actively learning about the possibilities of setting up their office in a business center in Luxembourg.

"They ask about offices, schools for children, hospitals, housing. We try to reassure them and advise them on international schools, nice neighborhoods in Luxembourg. Our work is not limited to the office, we must also inform about the country, "says the co-founder of Seed Box. "Right now, we already have some English customers who have taken the plunge, but it's still confidential."

A la carte service

Still, this type of service offers assistance to companies wishing to migrate to Luxembourg since leases are much more flexible than what is offered in "classic" real estate agencies.

"It is the customer who decides on the duration of his contract, whether for a month or for three years. It's reassuring for an entrepreneur who wants to start, especially when comparing [our offers] to real estate prices in the country, "said Jean-Marc Fernandez, who believes that its solution does not cost more than that a desk to oneself, because the proposed formula is "all included": expenses, cleaning, arrangement ... The customer does not take care of nothing.

Not to mention that working in a business center also makes it possible to network by meeting other entrepreneurs, without having to leave his office.
