May 24, 2019 European elections over several days
LUXEMBOURG - This year, 283,683 people registered in Luxembourg for the Europeans. But not everyone will vote the same day. Explanations.
Some have already voted in person or by correspondence, others are called to the polls by Sunday. The multicultural situation of Luxembourg makes it a country apart for these European elections whose results will be known Sunday. Indeed, there is the situation of the majority of residents who will vote in their usual polling station for Luxembourg candidates (six MEPs are to be chosen from ten lists). And there are others, European citizens who will vote for candidates from their home country. All logistics to implement for the diplomatic corps of these countries here in the Grand Duchy. Italians, Belgians, British ... Thus, Italians will be able to go on Friday (17h30-22h) and Saturday (8h-18h) in five polling stations in Esch-sur-Alzette (Brill school), Dudelange (René Hartmann sports center), Luxembourg-Ville (school primary school in Bonnevoie, two offices) and in Ettelbruck (city hall) to vote. The French are expected Sunday, from 8am to 18h, at the French school at Ban de Gasperich (5, rue Albert-Einstein). The Portuguese will be able to vote on Saturday and Sunday (8h-19h) at the Consulate of Luxembourg (282, route de Longwy). The Germans have already voted. Like the Belgians who voted Wednesday at the cultural center of Merl. As for the British, it is this Thursday that they will vote.
